British Columbia manages their elk herd correctly, requiring hunters to harvest a bull with at least 6 points on one antler. These regulations protect the spikes and smaller, branch antlered bulls. The archery hunts are held from September 1 to 14 during the rut. The rifle hunts are from September 15 until October 20. The hunt price includes the hunting license, elk tag, all meals and lodging during the hunt, transportation to and from the Cranbrook International Airport. There is a 5% Government sales tax not included. You have the option to purchase either a mule deer and/or black bear tag for approximately $125 and there is a harvest fee of $1,000 per additional animal harvested. You may also buy a wolf tag for about $60 and there is no fee if you harvest a wolf. This outfitter’s hunting area is 1,500 square miles.
