This hunt takes place on private and BLM land in the legendary area 57, located in the area known as the “Red Desert. Fences are few in this hunt area, and there is probably close to one million acres to hunt. For the last 45 years there has always been a debate between knowledgable antelope hunting enthusiasts about which Wyoming hunt area is the number 1 area in the state. Is it area 57 or area 61? This contest has never been decided, but both are on the County lines of Carbon and Sweetwater Counties. Carbon County is number 1 for entries into the B & C record books, and Sweetwater County is number 2. So, if you have enough points this hunt is a premium hunt in the very best locale in the USA. The landowner/outfitter has live in the area for years, and has a brother that works in the oilfields and drives that area the entire year! With this “wonderful” connection , the outfitter and his guide/brother know where all the premium size bucks are hanging out. The”boots on the ground factor” is a VERY important part of this hunt. This outfitter also hunts bull and cow elk, mule deer and black bear.
